Happy Friday all!

Here's a new weekly posting I'm starting.  I'll be selecting a word or phrase from my Dictionary of Food by Charles Sinclair and posting it each Friday. (as a side note, this dictionary does not give a pronunciation key for the words)

If you would like to help select one of those words, the first person to give me a page number from 1 – 632 and then a word number from 1 – 30 will have their word posted along with a link to their blog.  For this first post, I selected page 446 and the 10th word down.  That word is:

PKHALA

Southwest Asia ~ A Georgian dish made from a pur'ee of cooked and wrung out spinach with sweated chopped onion and garlic, chopped parsley and coriander leaves mixed with soaked saffron, vinegar and lemon juice, finely chopped walnuts and sufficient chicken stock to make a stiff paste.

Served after standing 3 hours as an hors d'oeuvre scattered with chopped walnuts and/or toasted pine nuts.

hmm….sounds pretty good, eh?

So who's going to be the first one to give me a page number and word number???
