The rumors are true! Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are getting divorced.
Neither Tom nor Katie have spoken personally to the media about their abrupt split, but each of their reps has issued a statement confirming that Holmes is pursing plans to divorce Cruise.
Tom's representative told the Associated Press: "Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. Please allow them their privacy to work this out."
Holmes' attorney, Jonathan Wolfe released a similar statement: "This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."
Cruise and Holmes, of course, have one daughter named Suri (who is probably about as famous as her well established mother and father), and Tom has two other children that he adopted while married to Nicole Kidman.
The details of the demise of TomKat's relationship is under wraps as is any specific information listed in Katie's request for a divorce.
