Nicole has campaigned and fundraised for impoverished children around the world. She was appointed a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF and has been honored as a "Citizen of the World" by the United Nations. She was also appointed goodwill ambassador of the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM). Nicole has testified before the United States House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs to support the International Violence against Women Act. She is the international spokesperson for UNIFEM's Say NO – UNiTE to End Violence against Women initiative. Nicole is also an advocate for the Little Tee Campaign for breast cancer care, which designs T-shirts or vests to raise money for the cure.
