It's Saturday and Katie Holmes is meeting with her high-powered New York divorce attorney, Aronson, Mayefsky, RumorFix has confirmed.
People and TMZ are reporting that settlement talks are underway between Katie's attorneys and Tom Cruise's legal team.
Both sides have legal heavyweights.
Katie's attorneys, Mayefsky and his partner Michael Mosberg, work for the firm that represented Peter Cook in his bitter 2008 divorce from Christie Brinkley. Their co-counsel, Jonathan Wolfe handled the divorces of football star Braylon Edwards and NHL player Martin Brodeur.
Tom's longtime lawyer is Bert Fields, who has represented some of the biggest names in Hollywood including John Travolta, Michael Jackson and Warren Beatty. The lead divorce attorney on the case is Dennis Wasser, who represented Tom in his divorce from Nicole Kidman.
