SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Yahoo Inc.'s (US:yhoo) new chief executive, Marissa Mayer, will receive a base salary of $1 million a year and be eligible for a bonus of up to 200% of her salary, said the Internet company in a filing late Thursday. Her compensation package also includes $12 million in stock units and options for this year and a $30 million one-time retention award as well as $14 million to partially compensate her for giving up any awards from her previous employer Google (US:goog). Mayer joined Yahoo on Monday after 13 years at Google.
