Kate Rodger is the face of TV3’s Film3 film reviews – and an expert in the films women want to watch.
She’s been to Cannes twice and the Oscars four times and has met (and interviewed) the entire who’s who of movie stars: Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Colin Firth, Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman included.
Starting this month, Kate will carefully select her top picks for The Australian Women’s Weekly readers, ensuring they never have to endure a dud film again.
Kate will be joined by two other new columnists:
Lisa O’Neill is unique in this country – a Levin-dwelling fashion stylist and mother of four unafraid to call a spade a spade (or a pear a pear). She attracts thousands to her riotous live shows where she advises real New Zealand women on everything from wearing the correct underwear to how to hide shopping purchases from the husband. In her Wardrobe Mistress column, she answers readers’ style questions and offers her unique perspective on dressing to suit every age, shape and lifestyle.
Emma Jenkins is an accomplished wine expert, New Zealand’s first female Master of Wine and one of only 298 Masters worldwide. This mother of two, based in Taupo, is obsessed with the stuff, and spends much of her time writing about and judging New Zealand drops. Her approach to wine is light-hearted, helpful and fun – she understands the readers’ requirement for good wine at sensible prices and finds the wine to match. In her spare time, she says, she has been “attempting to gain control of a large unruly garden populated by small children, dogs, chickens and two pet pigs. This is largely proving futile.”
